Highlights from this week:
- “I pess on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining towar what is ahead, I press on towad the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. - Potential is unexposed ability… reserved power… unapped strength… capped capabilities… unused success… dormant gifts… hidden talents… latent power… Potential is the sum of who you are that you have yet to reveal.
- “So that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” 2 Cor. 2:11
- God’s Spirit is the password to unlocking our potential – disobedience and sin, in essence, say ” I know better than you do, God, how to run my life.”
- “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” Ecclesiates 11:41b
- True obedience to God is doing what He says, when He says, as long as He says.
- “Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.” I Corinthians 6:12
- We must judge our success by God’s standards, not the world’s. True success is being right with God and completing His assignment and purpose for our lives. It’s knowing God and obeying Him.
- Satan will use the enemies of your potential to attempt to destroy God’s power within you but you can choose to protect yourself from his attack; to cultivate the possibilities you yet can accomplish; to use you talents, skills and abilities for the good of others. God’s power in you is stronger than all the enemies of your potential!
- Six enemies of your potential — 1) Disobedience, 2) Procrastination, 3) Distractions, 4) Success, 5) Debt, 6) Comparison
- Your ability is your responsibility
- Which one of the above-mentioned enemies stands in the way of your unrelease potential above any other? What steps can you take to keep this enemy from hindering your progress?
